Before the NFL released its preseason schedule on Thursday, it was already known that the Dolphins would play the Cowboys in the annual Hall of Fame Game to give them five preseason games instead of four. But they will also spend plenty of time on the road in the first few weeks of the preseason.
The Dolphins’ first three preseason games will all be on the road, and the final two at home. Two of their opponents, the Bucs and Saints, will also be regular season opponents. The Hall of Fame Game will be nationally televised on NBC, and the rest will be shown locally on CBS-4. The two home games may be blacked out if they don’t sell out 72 hours before kickoff.
Exact dates haven’t been set, but here’s the preseason schedule:
Aug. 4: vs. Cowboys at Canton, Ohio (8 p.m., NBC)
Aug 8-11: at Jaguars
Aug. 15-19: at Texans
Aug. 22-25: vs. Buccaneers
Aug. 29-30: vs. Saints
As for the regular season schedule, that is supposed to be announced on April 16. We already know the Dolphins’ opponents, but dates and times will be released then.
HOME: Buffalo, New England, New York Jets, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Carolina, Atlanta, San Diego
AWAY: Buffalo, New England, New York Jets, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis
